General

When and where is PyCon Tanzania 2026?

30 November to 4 December 2026 in Dar es Salaam. The venue and room details are on the schedule.

Is there a code of conduct?

Yes. Everyone at the conference agrees to it: attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers and organisers.

Can I buy tickets for my team?

Yes. Choose how many tickets you need at checkout. Each ticket has its own QR code.

Can I get a refund?

Write to the team before the conference and we will sort it out with you.

Can I submit more than one proposal?

Yes, up to three. We usually accept at most one talk per speaker.

I have never spoken at a conference. Should I apply?

Please do. First-time speakers are very welcome and we can pair you with a mentor.

Do speakers get a free ticket?

Yes. Every confirmed speaker gets a complimentary ticket.

Do I need experience to volunteer?

No. We brief every team before the conference and pair new volunteers with someone experienced.

What do volunteers get?

A free ticket, a volunteer T-shirt, lunch on the days you help and our thanks on the volunteer wall.
