The 5th PyCon Tanzania filled the UDSM Main Library auditorium on 3 and 4 December 2024.
Dr. Moses Mwasaga, Director General of the ICT Commission, closed the conference as guest of honour.

Talks covered Python performance and the Deploy platform (Fuad Habib), PDF text extraction (Khadija Mahanga), healthcare (Siwangu Mgata), Data & AI at the ICT Commission (Eng. Stanley Mahenge), Kibena AI (Glory Msasalaga), DNA visualisation (Basilisa), exploratory data analysis (Abubbakar Yussuf Omar), an AI expense tracker (Emmanuel Mtuchi), satellite data (Antidius Kawamala), the digital work revolution (Julius Moshiro), Django for resilient communities (Chris Achinga), the KAMUSI Swahili dictionary (Zephania Reuben), deep learning (Isack Odero), code and infrastructure (Kennedy Onyango) and shipping to production (Joseph Njogu), plus a panel on building strong tech communities.
